Personal Projects

Some of the most fun projects of all are the personal ones. My son’s birthdays have become huge design challenges every year with the deliverables grids growing even faster than he does. I’ve always loved old-timey profile portraiture and working with my wife we designed a version that reflects our obsession with the world of Polynesian Pop culture. Some of the most rewarding and definitely the most challenging projects have been ones that almost no one sees. That comes in stark contrast to the literal hundreds of millions of people/impressions/likes my professional work has received. But that’s the best part of these projects – the love for design and creativity has a very tangible outlet (with strict due dates).
